Macaroni’n’cheese Cups!   Leave a comment

So as I talked about in a post a really long time ago. (Cooking experiments and lottery tickets) I am cooking out of the Muffin Tin Chef for my cooking through a whole cook book challenge (you can find a link to the cook book in the other post).

I made Macaroni’n’Cheese cups which were quite good. Definitely if I make them next time I am going to add bacon bits because that would make them even better and also probably less nutmeg. As I often do I went of the recipe a little bit (mostly just not adding some stuff like tomato chunks) but the general idea I got from the cookbook.

I completely forgot to take pictures as I was making them but maybe next time I will be more on my stuff. Ohh also note about these is they reheat very well in the microwave for leftovers.

Yoga!   1 comment

I finally went to a yoga class. This was one of the things on my bucket list and I had complete access to do it I just never did. I have had the membership that allows me to take all the classes but I’m awkward and didn’t know how it would go.

The people taking the class and the instructor were very welcoming and the class was quite a work out. A lot of it was core. I actually did fairly well except for the balancing stuff. Hopefully I will get better at that.

I plan on getting my own yoga mat and coming back. Also I plan on going to more classes as a fun was to lose weight and get back in shape.

Johnny and June   Leave a comment

A while back we added two new friends to our family. Johnny and June! They are our leapord geckos.

My gecko is June, pictured above. So we went to the pet store to by Darby some food and they were on sale and really cute and well we already had an empty tank so how could we say no to that?

We think that June is definitely the dominant one. Well at least the one that eats most of the food. They are definitely a fun and welcome addition to our family.

Maple syrup    1 comment

I went down hill skiing for the first time! It was a while back but I’m just writing about it now. At first, it wasn’t going too great. I kept falling down the bunny hill. I kept panicking an so then falling. My fiance then took his snow board leash and connected it to my belt loop. He guided me down the bunny hill and controlled my speed so I didn’t panic. After I got down the form, I did it on my own and then it was time to go down my first real hill. It was a green circle named Maple syrup. I got on the lift and kinda was freaked out about the height of it but I got used to it once the day went on. I feel while trying to get off the lift the first couple times. I was pretty nervous to go down the hill. But shockingly to me and the others with me, I didn’t fall once when going down the hill!!!

Seriously, I was so shocked. It was so much fun and I am very thankful for my mom for taking me.

There was one green circle that kept giving me grief. But after 3 times I finally got it. It had a sharper turn then the first hill and I kept wiping out. I was so proud when I succeeded.  I moved to going down some blue squares. They are more difficult and the first two, even though I was going crazy fact I didn’t fall.

I went on another Blue Square this one more difficult. Steeper. I panicked once and fell. My fiance helped my up and I got back to it. I was doing really good when the only other person on the hill cut me off. I am bad at weaving back and forth and also my hip cramped up at the same time. I ended up falling trying not to hit her. That was a fall that definitely hurt and I took a bit of a break after that. I went back on a green circle to practice my weaving.

I was so soar at the end of the day but I had a lot of fun with my fiance, mom, and brother. After, we were back in town my fiance, brother and I went out to eat at red robin which was a delicious meal after a day of hard work.

So many things!   Leave a comment

I have been up to a lot lately. I just got back from being gone more then half of the month of March. I have added a few more states to my list and I have got some thing done on my bucket list. I am going to spend the next however long telling you all about it. I know I have been pretty awful at blogging lately but I am going to try to see how long I can go getting a post per day.

I also am starting to hard core work out again. Unfortunately, my car didn’t start today when I tried to go to the gym so I couldn’t run like I wanted to (still freezing out and I’m not about that life.) but I did a pretty awesome home work out that I got from Body Rock and then added some stuff on my own. This weeks goal is to do 60 burpees, 100 sit-ups, and 50 push-ups per day. I have a pt test in May and a Spartan sprint in June that I have to get ready for.
